A Ver Que Sale~!
Exploring a bizarre planet.
Lots of stuff got to be done!

It is amazing to realize that I am writing something on my blog without being forced to do so by Olavia Kite! Well, this semester, I am taking the core graduate seminar for globalization issues, a development economics course, and a course that examines project planning for Less Developed Countries. Supposedly, I've got to read a lot, write a lot, and speak up in the class a lot for those classes! However, I have another task throughout the semester! I'VE GOT TO STUDY SPANISH!!! I am trying to get an internship within some international organization. If I get it, I will be working for their social development projects in a SPANISH-SPEAKING country! Holy cow-wow! What the heck am I going to do!? Needless to say, I should be very busy this semester. I've just started looking for a Spanish tutor on campus. Hopefully, I will get a Cubana bonita(kidding, kidding, OK!) Seriously, I'll have to find someone who can teach me some survival Spanish skills! I have to get going, man! Anyways, sh_t happens in life, so after all, it is que sera sera. I can do it!!! In fact, I've never studied hard to get something in my entire life, so see what I can do. All I know at this point is that I will have to miraculously elevate my lousy Spanish knowledge in just 4 months! (actually less than that!) It is quit challenging, and as I mentioned before, it is something I have never done! In 4 -8 months, I will have either put a wonderful working experience record on my resume OR experienced a devastating catastrophe!!!

One Night in Bogota

I've currently been staying in Bogotá, Colombia since December 14th. Today I went to a Japanese restaurant, named "和美咲美"(wa-bi-sa-bi) with my GF. The chef was Japanese and he shared some of his experiences in Colombia with us. According to him, the boiling point here in Bogotá is about 80-90°C due to its high altitude (2,600m above the sea-level). To prepare rice for Japanese food, it has to be cooked more than 100°C degree, so a "high-pressure" rice cooker is necessary, he said. Also, the chef told me that a chef from the Japan Embassy in Colombia told him that finding fine ingredents for Japanese food in Bogotá is much more difficult than in Tanzania! (a republic located in the middle-eastern part of Africa) Since the price of the food that we ate was relatively inexpensive, I assume that the chef has done many efforts to maintain the price affordable. I've never met a single Japanese person in Colombia so that it was a very strange, but interesting and fun time to chat with a young enthusiastic chef delivering the taste of Japan to the middle of the Andes mountains---the food was great! Muchas gracias!

Get it re-started!

I have decided to start writing something in this blog, as encouraged by Olavia Kite. I will be posting from tomorrow. I will try to update this as often as I can. Gracias!

Announcement...

Due to the current not-so-good mental health of myself and my busy days at grad school, I have decided to NOT update this blog anymore... I might start writing something in the future, but I don't know when I will do so. Thank you very much for visiting my blog. I very much appreciate your time. Bye-bye!

Time and Distance

I want her back to me right now, but I do not want her to give up her study for me.
I want to leave everything behind me and fly to where I want to be, but I also have to pursue my goal.
I want to cook something for her, but I do not know what she wants to eat now.
I want to buy some cool clothes for her, but I have no clue which size to choose.
I want to sing a song that I have written for her, but she cannot listen it.
I want to go watch a movie, but I do not know which movie she wants to watch.
I want to let her try some good Sushi, but I simply cannot send them to where she is.
I want to make a fun plan for the weekend, but I cannot even be a Sancho Panza for her boundless journey...

Everything seems mutually exclusive in my heart... And, I know I cannot do anything about it.
All I can do is just wait for her by staring the ceiling and being blown in the wind. It is far beyond my reach. Time and Distance...

What you should do on Friday evening!

I am writing this post in the computer lab in my school library.
I am working on a 10-page paper talking about the impact of high population growth on the environment. The topis itself sounds simple, but there are many theories and perspectives so that I got to read a lot, and of course, write a lot as well!
Early this afternoon, a computer mechanic dispatched? by D_L_ came down to my apartment with a new mother board for my laptop. He took about 15-20 minutes to install it and to re-build my laptop. Meanwhile, he was talking to someone over the phone telling her the condition of my PC. When it's all done, the mechanic told me that "I need more parts to completely fix your laptop and the parts should arrive at my office on Monday. I will give you a call." I was like...My opened mouth seemed it would never be closed again... In the end, he was kind enough to tell me that " we made a progress!" I got nothing to say about this topic anymore, and don't even want him to call me, though it is not his fault. The only thing I can say at this point is that I will NEVER EVER buy a D_L_ product again!
Well, I should go back to my homework. If I don't make some progress on my paper, I will be dead on Sunday! No matter what happens to me, what I can do is just hustle, hustle-!

Son-of-ba, Bossa Nova, Beach!!!?

"Hey, guys! You know what women secretly say behind their lovers back?"
I got this quote from some TV commercial for men.
Anyways, you don't know how much I feel down in these days...
My laptop got broken again! A fricking D_L_ product!!! This is the 3rd time that my PC drives me nuts! I don't even want to describe what the heck happened!
Life is full of suffering, sorrow, and pain, as my Filipino philosophy teacher taught me.
If there is someone, who is eloquently and kindly telling me what dialectical materialism is all about, I would probably get pissed, REALLY pissed! I just feel like to be blown in the wind! Give me a break, the God, Yahweh, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu and Siva, and even Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, and the rest of whatsoevers I am missing. I would cordially give you guys the finger-! You are the only man, who can save the earth and feel my pain...right!? My best friend George-!
